Today I am joining my friend Sheri Silver to share our five favorite Everlane pieces perfect for spring. Sheri and I live only about 30 minutes apart. Our casual lifestyle, weather, and love for a few spring basics from Everlane might have a few crossovers.
Blazers are the perfect transition piece for spring.
The ’80s Blazer in Khaki and Black
I love the oversize blazers from Everlane. The oversize fit is still flattering but allows for some layering. I may need to wear a T-shirt with a cashmere sweater or a hooded sweatshirt underneath for extra warmth in the spring.
The khaki and black blazer turned out to be my favorite. It’s more versatile than I had originally thought. I love that I can dress it up or down. (It’s currently on sale too)!
Wearing it with off-white denim and black
A blazer as a coat feels less like a “coat,” yet it provides the warmth of a coat without the bulk. And if the sun comes out while wearing a trench, I’m miserable. With a blazer, it still feels appropriate. I can remove my sweater, tie it around my shoulders, or keep it in my bag. I always keep one of these to store and safely protect my cashmere sweater inside my bag.
The Over-Sized Poplin Shirt
I love this Poplin shirt. It’s comfortable but less casual than linen because it stays crisper. I would say it runs true to size with a slightly oversize fit. I’m 5’10” tall and wearing a medium. It runs a little short in the sleeves and overall, but that’s to be expected for my height. I’ve worn this several times, and it presses quickly for a polished look.
The Linen Relaxed Shirt
I am always on the hunt for black linen shirts. This one is perfect. There are a lot of linen tunics, and while I love a tunic, sometimes I just want to tuck in my shirt. The Linen Relaxed Shirt from Everlane is perfect tucked in or not! I’ve worn it both ways! I might get it in Kalamata too!
Everlane Denim
Everlane always has the latest trend in denim, but trendy jeans don’t work for me. My go-to jean is the Way-High Slim Jean or the 90s Cheeky® Jean. (Both have a similar cut).
The Tencil Over-Sized Blazer
This jacket is gorgeous! The fabric, the cut, is so beautiful and feels so good! If you need an updated black blazer, this might be the one!
Everlane is always a place where I add a few pieces each season. My Mac trench is from Everlane, and I always buy a few cashmere sweaters in the fall.
Why I Love Everlane for a Few Basics Each Season
When I buy clothing, I typically have it for a very long time. Shoes and bags especially. I buy quality over quantity almost always. Except for sneakers I wear out, I have shoes 10-20 years old. I have them repaired when needed, and I love having only a few pairs to choose from.
Same with clothing, I tend to wear the same pieces repeatedly. So if you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll probably recognize some of these pieces.
Are you a fashion repeater, or do you like to mix things up?

Hi Annie
I have been wanting to try both Everlane’s poplin shirt and the relaxed linen shirt. I am so happy to see you sharing them today. It is so nice to see them on a real person rather than a model! Heading over to visit Sheri-love her style too!

Oh, Annie,
To be tall and lanky and able to wear these lovely classic pieces. At 5′ 1, I need petite sizes so can only admire these on you and Sheri.
Hugs from breezy cool Mercer Island, WA, where I’m looking for a good fitting black blazer.

I’m new to your blog. I’m really enjoying it very much. I am 5’ 10” also, and I’m wondering about the length of the sleeves on the blazer. I hate when sleeves are too short. Also, how do the jeans fit? True to size?
Thank you

Hi Carol!
The sleeves are a tiny bit short, but not a deal breaker. Even when I wear long sleeves under it, it doesn’t seem that they are sticking out too much! You know what I mean!
The AG jeans are a little short, but the styles are so all over the place that I’m okay with it. They definitely do not seem cropped! I never like cropped. Yes, true to size.
The Alex Mill pants (the Neil Pant) are a perfect length. Also true to size.
Thanks for stopping by!

Hi Annie,
Great selection of items from Everlane! Just curious—did you have to size down in The 80’s Blazer? Thank you for sharing.

Hi Susie, I did not size down, I’m tall, pretty broad shouldered,so I wore my usual size. It does run a little big, but I kind of like it that way! I can layer under it…
