Last week I was featured on the UASHMAMA blog. I have a few new favorite bags from UASHMAMA that I use around the house and on the road. The company is family-owned, based in Lucca, Italy, and all products are sustainably made using paper that looks, feels, and acts like leather.
Today I will share a couple of my favorite items I’ll use every day in some way.
From the UASHMAMA blog
When I receive a box of UASHMAMA products, it feels like Christmas. I have so many ideas about using each item now, next season, and during the holidays! Imagining using the Vassio-handled flat basket for a holiday wrapping station or on a holiday table with pots of mini conifers makes me excited for fall and maybe winter!
The Vassoio with leather handles has a solid base which gives it some shape and makes it more sturdy than the original paper bags. It’s the perfect tray that’s sort of like a tote to take dishes to the beach or even the backyard for a casual dinner. Shown: The Vassoio with leather handles, the Lollie Bag, and the small Caddy. The small ones are perfect for serving olives and crackers or bread.

The Vassoio with Hydrangeas in the Dining Room
I used the large Sydney tote for an overnight bag just this week. It’s gorgeous and roomy. And it looks stylish wherever you put it! We stayed at the tiny Getaway House cabins in the Catskills, and having a beautiful bag in a small space is a big deal!
2. Getaway Tiny Cabins
Do you follow @getawayhouse on Instagram? I had the opportunity to spend a night in a tiny cabin in the Catskills with Madeline last week, and I have to say, it is not overrated. We had a blast, and it was a very unique experience. I’ll be sharing more about this in a later post.
3. Erica Avila | Textured Floral Artist
I’m not sure when or how I first discovered Erica Avila, but her art is so beautiful I just had to share it in case you are unaware of her work! I would try and describe her art, but this quote from her about page explains it so much better than I could. Erica says, “I paint with heavy body acrylics in an impressionist feminine style.”
4. Do you have an abundance of tomatoes and basil?
We have tons of basil and so many tomatoes from our stock tank garden, so when Brent saw this recipe for tomato fried rice, he immediately got out the rice cooker. By the way, a rice cooker is seriously one of the most underrated small kitchen appliances. Do you agree?
5. A three-in-one wireless charger pad
I’m not usually one for gadgets, but this one makes a lot of sense. I can charge my phone, my AirPods, and my apple watch simultaneously using one foldup charging pad. This is perfect for travel.

Classic Casual Home
Cindy recently wrote an interesting piece on transitioning linen to fall. Since we are going to France in September, I’ll get some tips from Cindy’s post.
Mary Ann just returned from LA, where she helped host a baby shower for her daughter Alie! The table decorations are perfect and so meaningful! You can read all about it in this post if you missed it!

Annie,
The bags you’re sharing are amazing. They look very much like leather.
It sounds like you’re having a wonderful summer and with a trip to France in the not-too-distant future! What fun.

These bags are the best, Annie. Every time I see you post bout them my heart skips a beat. Thinking ahead to gift giving season so many possibilities for a gift inside of a gift. My only problem is deciding which shapes and sizes to order. I suppose ‘all of them’ isn’t an option. Haha … xo
