Make Savory S’mores for the Perfect Fall Snack

Trays with rolls, small bowls of condimetns with spoons, bri cheese bites.

Savory s’mores are having a moment; maybe you’ve seen them on social media. I had to try them with my own little twist. We often have a charcuterie board for a savory snack when the kids come home or before a dinner party. This savory treat takes a charcuterie board to the next level.

In true s’mores fashion, you will need a fire pit, roasting sticks, and something to roast over the fire. But instead of a perfectly roasted marshmallow, Hershey bars between graham crackers, think savory over sweet. Melty brie cheese, ham, butter between your favorite crackers or even bread.

The French version of savory s’mores

With just a few supplies from Trader Joe’s, the grocery store, and perhaps your well-stocked pantry, you can have a beautiful spread ready to serve around a cozy campfire in no time.

Here’s your shopping list for French-inspired savory s’mores

  • Mini brie rounds (I bought mine at Trader Joe’s) are the perfect size for a cracker. A slice of brie cheese could work, too, but the mini brie bites are ideal.
  • Slices of good ham
  • Sturdy cracker or bread
  • French butter
  • Fig preserves
  • Onion jelly
  • Dijon mustard
  • Spicy mustard

Solo Stove Fire Pit

We love our Solo Stove fire pit because it is easy to use and mostly smokeless. This type of firepit is a game-changer. We live by the water, and it’s always windy. With a traditional fire pit, smoke always goes in the direction of someone, but this is not the case with a Solo Stove.

We have the Ranger 2.0 Solo Stove, their portable stove. It’s perfect for the backyard and comes with a case to take to the beach or wherever; the next size up is the Bonfire 2.0.

A toasted brie cheese bite is sandwiched between two crackers and is filled with French ham and cornichons.

Good friends, good food, a well-rounded bite of goodness on a cracker around a roaring fire, what could be better for Sunday favorites?

Savory S'mores with Brie Bites are on an outdoor table set with purple wine glasses. In the background is a fire burning surrounded by outdoor chairs and a couch.
Napkins, wine glasses, plates, a copper pot, tea towels and a Solo Stove are linked to make it easy for readers to buy them.

Every fall, I love to rewatch You’ve Got Mail. I mean, who doesn’t, right? And you know what makes a rewatch even cozier? Having a pair of Kathleen Kelly Pajamas. I love these from GAP so much that I bought three more pairs and a pair for Madeline, too!

Mini Flower Pot Bread Kits from Terrain

The Flower Pot Bread Kits and Refills make fun hostess gifts. Now they have Mini Flower Pot bread Kits, which are so fun. It’s one of my favorite things at the Terrain Cafe. They always serve it with seasoned butter, and it’s different every day.

Trader Joe’s now sells maple butter, making the perfect addition to a flower pot bread kit!

That’s all for me today. Let’s see what Mary Ann and Cindy found this week.
