Since it’s Friday, here’s a DIY project to make adorable birch branch mini tree place cards. I know, I know…another birch branch post! but I do love birch branches and yesterday I saw piles of them at Terrain, so I know I’m not alone. For this project we used a small tree limb that’s about an inch in diameter. We (and by “we”, I mean my husband) cut about a 1/2″ thick slices and that supported a tiny tree which is just a cutting from a pine tree. “We” then drilled a small hole in the center to secure the mini tree cuttings. I did not not need to glue them, they just seem to fit nicely.
The supplies for this quick project are mostly from nature. Well, except for the power tools. So aside from that, all you need is a tree limb or branch, a few cuttings from an evergreen tree and paper, tape or stickers for the name cards.
I used the craft paper tags I found in the dollar section at Target, but washi tape would work well too. I think these might adorn our Christmas morning breakfast table.
