So many things to be thankful for…including store bought Sarabeth’s cranberry relish.  I usually make it from scratch, but when I saw a jar of this at Stew Leonard’s the other day I put it in my basket…just in case and today after watching the parade, drinking coffee for three hours I was kind of happy that this one thing was off the list.  Are you in favor of a little store bought or is it all homemade on your table? Happy Thanksgiving!Sarabeth's cranberry relish

I was thinking of buying everything in for Christmas this year but I think I was having a bah humbug moment.
I’m looking forward to seeing your Christmas table/decorating ideas.

My lovely Mother-in-Law who has helped trained me well for holiday meals, would refer to herself and her friends as purest, they did it all from scratch! However, many years back we both came to the conclusion that our family preferred “Ocean Spray Jellied Cranberry Sauce”! Everyone gobbles it up, and we how have one less thing to prepare in the kitchen. Sarabeth’s relish looks delicious!

A Dunes & Duchess Lamp/Scones would be perfect in your home!! How about RED??

That cranberry sauce looks just as good as any homemade sauce. Since it was just the 4 of us yesterday we skipped the turkey and traditional fare and made life easy on ourselves. We had a honey baked ham, double baked potatoes, green bean and shallots and this amazing dark chocolate and coconut pie that my daughter and I made up in the morning. It was such an easy meal to prepare that we had lots of down time to be outside, relax and read. I’m trying to show my kids that traditions can be broken and that it’s ok to break away from the norm.

I hope you had a wonderful east coast holiday in your new home :)

    Jackie

My cranberry relish was definitely store bought (and delicious) from Whole Foods this year!

Oh my goodness my dad made homemade this year and it was the best I’ve ever had. Definitely worth the extra effort.
