Every year there are milestones met and firsts and lasts…this year we are back in the hometown where our children grew up for the most part and next year our daughter will be off to college. So much to be thankful for and reasons to celebrate. Everything on our table this year is something from my mom or sister, finds from a flea market, Ikea and sweet little bistro glasses from a friend after our trip to France together.

I always see the quote, “what I love most about my home is the people with whom I share it” …or something like that–it’s all over Pinterest. It’s so true…our little family is something I don’t take for granted for one minute. This last photo always makes me think of the holidays. My sister and I were always sent to fetch our desk chairs to squeeze into a spot at the table. My mom used to say, “and don’t hit the walls on the way down!” as if! Funny how the holidays make you reminisce.

Your table is beautiful Annie. Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
Such beautiful colors Annie. I love the way you mixed family pieces with new things, and is that a plaid wool blanket as a runner? So clever and warm looking. You are so right to be grateful and appreciative, not taking anything or anyone for granted. LOL at your memories of you mom saying “don’t hit the walls”…I have said the exact same thing. Fun to remember days gone by.
Have a good evening Annie….

I say the same “don’t hit the walls” to our boys when bringing extra chairs to the holiday table! Love your brass candlesticks. Your table is beautiful.
I was just going to put up some pictures of my Thanksgiving table planning, yours look so inviting, I want to sit right down. I LOVE that corner cabinet…oh for a vintage house!
Annie,
Not only are your words straight from the heart, your home is too.
Love the warmth and the simplicity.
I know your daughter will love coming home from college – next year.

Annie, please set a place for our family at your lovely Thanksgiving table! It’s so warm and inviting!
The mix of chairs around the table reminds me of holidays and family event past and present! Your mix looks wonderful!
Beautiful setting Annie! Couldn’t help but notice your gorgeous paint against the white china cabinet!
I love how you tied the napkins…all so pretty! Want to email me you address and I will sent you some Sierra Mountain pine cones?

What a warm and gracious table! And yes, there is something about the holidays that makes you reminisce. Hope your holidays are wonderful!!
Love the way you set your table with a mix of memories and gifts from family and friends – that’s the way it should be! I love that Thanksgiving really embraces family and history – so many memories and traditions in each household! You are obviously a fantastic host and will no doubt cook an amazing dinner!
Your Thanksgiving table is magical! I love things that tell a story and have a special meaning. Just beautiful as always.
Such a great space…makes me excited for Thanksgiving!
Went to RJ Import yesterday and took some photos. They are up on my blog. Thanks for the tip
I linked you up as well.
Annie! Your table look fabulous. I love all the reds, oranges and yellows. I also love that everything on there has meaning to you and memories attached.
Guess what is happening to my site? My friend is moving me over to word press. She builds websites and the other day I was complaining to her about blogger and it’s limitations, and she told me she could move me over easily. She knows all that crazy HTML stuff and all about links. I don’t know why I never thought about asking her before, duhhh! But anyway, I will let you know when its up and running. It’s going to look pretty similar to what I already have, as I’m a bit attached to my current look, but I will be on word press. I will make changes down the road, but for now I just want to get it up and running on word press. I may email you for some advice on how to notify blogger friends who follow me that way. She says that everyone else won’t even know that I switched over, not even google. She’s going to make it seamless. Wish me luck!

What I love the most about this is that you combined all the things that mean a lot to you. You made your table look so rich and pretty with all the colors. Just love this. Wishing you and your family a lovely Thanksgiving in your new home.

The fall gives us such wonderful color combination, and you’ve captured them beautifully. I love the amber glass bowls in the next to last photo especially. Happy Thanksgiving!
Adore the colours and your style is my favourite xx
Beautiful. We could be there in a matter of hours. Could you squeeze in a couple of extra chairs? I’m small I won’t take up much room.
