Adding a new pretty shower curtain in a bathroom is like making the bed. What looks like a mess can be turned around with a made bed or a pretty new shower curtain from Rejuvenation.
This hall bath was once a a very awkward looking bathroom with a vanity that was too large for the space. The first thing we did was remove it and replace with a pedestal sink. I know I know…no storage, but the thing about under the sink storage is that it’s really not that helpful. Now drawers, that’s different. But this was just a cabinet under the sink.
When I went to order the sink I had options…so naturally I chose black!

We used dip-dyed stools all over the house. And we have stacks of these towels in both bathrooms. Simple changes, but it makes a big difference.
I like to have one thing of luxury in every space. I adore Aesop hand soap. (Thanks Mary Ann)! It’s like a spa hand wash every time you use it. The Twinkle lights in the corner stay on all the time, they serve as a night light, but just makes it look pretty even in the light of day.

Great idea for the twinkle lights. Our powder room is similar with the black and white. Love yours! You are welcome for the soao…I love it too.

I think of you every time I wash my hands!

It’s a cute vintage-looking bathroom. Only thing I dislike is that ugly pipe running behind the sink…should have been hidden imo
annie diamond says
Yes! I agree…when we took out the vanity we realized the ugly pipe was going to show. I’m sure a little extra money and we could have made it go away…but with old houses sometimes you just have to let things go and move on to the next project. Thanks for reading.

So pretty!! We have a small bathroom with a vanity too large for the space as well. I’ve been thinking about doing a pedestal sink and am a little worried about storage space, especially since it’s my kids’ bathroom. Your bathroom gives me hope! Where did you purchase your medicine cabinet? I know that will be a must if I take the plunge!

Hi Bethany,
I’m not sure where the medicine cabinet was purchased. It was here when we purchased the home. There’s also another medicine cabinet to the right of the toilet. (not shown), so each of my kids have their own space. Towels are kept on a shelf in each of their closets and I have to say we really haven’t missed the under sink storage.Good luck if you decide to go for it!
