Inès on the Upper East Side
Our latest coffee shop adventure took us to Inès on the Upper East Side, 74th between 1st and York, to be exact. The cafe itself is charming– it’s the perfect addition to the neighborhood. If you’re taking a stroll in the area, you can’t miss the shop with its beautiful blue and white awning. But once you get inside, you’ll fall in love with the cozy, French-inspired interior.
Inès has a great breakfast and lunch menu that’s perfect for a snack anytime of day. We settled on cappuccinos and a tartine de Brie au Miel (delicious bread, melted cheese, and a drizzle of honey– what could be better?)
From the tile floors to the blue leather stools, the details at Inès are impeccable. We loved the color combination of blue, black, and white that’s carried out throughout the cafe. We can’t get enough of that midnight blue espresso machine!
After traveling to Los Angeles a couple weeks ago and visiting some incredible coffee shops (Alfred Coffee in Beverly Hills and Gjusta in Venice), we were itching to get back to New York City. Inès has that beautiful combination of old and new New York that we were looking for.
Be sure to stop by Inès on your next trip to the Upper East Side, and don’t forget to follow us on Instagram @coffeeshopsofnewyork for more of our favorite spots around the city.
