Ideas on how to wear and style white jeans in winter because you no longer need to put away your white denim after Labor Day until Memorial Day. I love that fashion rules are being shattered. Wear white jeans year-round. I also love bone or ecru jeans.

White denim of all shades has become a popular choice with many brands, from Sézane and Alex Mill to 45R. I’m going to show you how I wear one pair of white jeans all week long, mainly using items from my closet—items I’ve had for years...many years.

Today, I’m joining Cindy, Mary Ann, Kim, and Juliet to share our favorite ways to wear white jeans in the colder months or any time of year! 

Favorite accessories to wear and style white jeans in winter

You can wear anything with white, but leopard print is one accessory that never fails when worn with white. Leather jackets, like this oversized one from Quince, are also great accessories with white denim.

Day One: Winter days in Connecticut look pretty bleak, but wearing a chocolate brown coat with new white jeans rather than blue denim elevates the whole look. My favorite white jeans are this pair from Rag & Bone. They are called featherweight, which might make you think they are not the best choice for winter months. But they are super comfortable and look great with everything.

This day was freezing, so I also layered an Arlette Turtlneck under a Merino wool shirt under the wool coat to stay warm in the cold weather. I think the darker shade of brown works with the black boots and turtleneck.

Day Two: White jean winter outfits with a chunky sweater. A gray or camel oversized sweater with loafers, sneakers, or boots are all perfect shoes for wearing a Barbour Classic Jacket. I’m wearing my husband’s Barbour jacket, probably 18 years old. A Barbour jacket never wears out, and sometimes they are a little more “in” style, than other times, but I’ll never part with a Barbour jacket.

Day Three: Wearing white jeans in warmer winter weather with the Sézane Clyde Trench Coat is an easy way to lighten up a look.

Day Four: I can never resist white denim, brown accessories, and a plaid blazer from J. McLaughlin. For the winter season, you could layer a denim jacket (if that’s comfortable) over a cashmere sweater. Add an oversized wool scarf worn like a wrap to help keep you warm.

Day Five: I love wearing white or ecru jeans with black. It’s such an easy look. I’ve had the quilted Barbour jacket for about 20 years and the Prada boots for years as well.

I have worn the five looks above or similar for my winter wardrobe. Almost everything except the jeans and the brown wool coat is very old. The coat from Quince is oversized , allowing to layer for warmth as needed.

Style tip of when to never wear white denim…when it’s raining! The easiest way to ruin a pair of new white jeans is to wear them in rainy or sloppy weather. But this comes from someone who lives in the Northeast, so you wear winter whites according to where you live!
