Overnight oats are so easy and so good!

Why did it take me so long to jump on the overnight oats trend!? I see people making them on Instagram, but for some reason, I just never started making them, until now! I’ve always enjoyed Muesli whenever we’ve traveled in Europe. It seems like overnight oats are similar.
If you are new here, every Sunday I join my friends Cindy and Mary Ann and we share out favorite finds of the week. Discovering how easy, delicious, and healthy overnight oats are is my top favorite this week!

Overnight oats are so easy and so good!
This recipe is for one, but I make several at a time all in individual jars. I just line up my ingredients and start scooping and then give it a stir!
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup rolled oats
- 2 Tablespoons shredded coconut
- 1 Tablespoon chia seeds
- 1 Tablespoon almond butter
- 1 Tablespoon maple syrup
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- fresh fruit, nuts, and an edible flower for toppings!
Instructions
- Mix everything together in a jar and whisk or stir to combine, making sure to blend in the almond butter.
- Refrigerate overnight and add fresh fruit and nuts just before serving!
Are overnight oats healthy?
Yes! Overnight oats use rolled oats that are high in nutrients. Eating regular oatmeal usually call for quick oats which are highly processed. Overnight oats win out every time! This article has a lot of good information.

Fresh fruit, chopped nuts, and maybe even an edible flower! I love chamomile flowers for this!
Our Favorite Jars
We love Le Parfait jars that we buy at The Container Store or we repurpose Maille Mustard jars for smaller versions. I can never throw away a pretty jar, can you?
2. Cindy’s post on blush for Mature Skin
Did you read Cindy’s post on The Best Blush for Mature Skin? It’s so good! I purchased the Ilia blush and love it! For the first time in years, I think I’m wearing the right blush. Madeline also uses it too! Speaking of Madeline, she told me about this concealer from Maybelline! It comes in 18 colors. It’s actually called Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Treatment Concealer!
3. My old and new favorites from Serena & Lily
I love Serena & Lily! They keep some of their products like the Montecito Outdoor Pillows and then add in new items that are so fresh and lovely!

We’ve had the Montecito Outdoor Pillows for at least four years. I leave them out on the porch all year long. After the winter months, they look gray and old. A quick wash on gentle using Oxyclean and they look like I just brought them home from the Westport Store!
A few things I’ve had my eye on are a beach house blanket/throw, these linen gingham pillow covers in the color earth, and Riveria outdoor chairs in white!
4. Cocktails and Mocktails with Juliet
Juliet of Make Mine a Spritzer has the most delicious drink ideas! As you can imagine with a blog name like that! Make sure to follow her on Instagram where she often shares making them at her beautiful Bay Area home!
5. Have you ever wondered where the term Coastal Grandmother came from?
After a quick Google search, I find out that it’s a 27-year-old influencer! Lex Nicoleta says coastal grandmother is anyone who “loves Nancy Meyers movies, coastal vibes, recipes and cooking, Ina Garten and cozy interiors.” Well, there you go…I think it’s safe to say that if you are reading this blog, then we are all Coastal Grandmothers! There are even Coastal Grandmother playlists on Spotify! I’m obsessed!
I’ve been making overnight oats for about a year. I put a handful of unsalted nuts and a few dark Belgium chocolate chips in mine. Decadent! but healthy!
Thanks for sharing.
Brenda, dark Belgium chocolate chips…well that sounds delicious! Where does one buy them? Decadent and healthy…we love it!
Hi Annie
You know who turned me on to overnight oats…our pal Maryann. Steve eats them nearly every morning. We use the old fashioned oats and do not let them sit all night, add almonds, fruit and yogurt! Thanks for the shout out. I almost did Juliet’s cocktails today too. Great minds think alike. Love all your Serena and Lily favorites! FYI I love the Ilia blush too I just like the color of the Milk better. I am going to check out that Maybelline concealer.
Mary Ann turned you onto overnight oats….how did I miss that?? ha
Leave it to you to make the most beautiful overnight oats, Annie. I feel like I am comprised of prosciutto, cheese, pizza and pasta right now after Italy. We need to get on the healthy eating train!!! Thanks for the inspiration.
We are at JFK…you are having gorgeous weather. Enjoy!!
Love overnight oats Annie. So many ways to do them which is nice. The Le parfait jars are great! I collect mustard ones too. Great idea to wash your pillows in Oxyclean. It works so good for so much! Those pillows are perfect for your porch! x
Well Annie, if ANYONE could get me to eat oatmeal it’s you – so pretty and actually looks like I might (??) enjoy (!!!!) xoxo
Annie! I love overnight oats and adore your presentation. Clearly I need to up my oats game and now I know how! Thanks so much for including me in your Saturday favorites … I’m delighted and grateful. Have an amazing week! xo
How did you & Madeline choose the right blush for each? I always feel I look clownish…
Annie,
I think the Coastal Grandmother title is so funny, I usually refer to that style of decor as collected. Nancy Meyers put together some fabulous collected houses for her characters.
Overnight oats are delicious and so easy and versatile.
Juliets cocktails and always beautiful and delicious!
Have a great week.
