Change starts with awareness
When I first started using essential oils, it was to ditch my toxic candles and start diffusing instead. I think it was diffusing that made me fall in love with essential oils, but it wasn’t long before I realized the value of these little bottles of oils for so many things. What really made me wake up was when I watched the documentary Stink. It talks about the hidden dangers of fragrance. Fragrance is in everything from our household cleaners and laundry soap to our makeup and skincare! I highly recommend this film because change starts with awareness!
Here are the blends that made me fall in love with diffusing!
Le Labo were some of my favorite candles. I loved the smell and the packaging and would visit the shop in New York whenever I was in the area. It had the complete vibe of what I loved about having candles. But then when I quit candles, I still wanted that cozy hygge feeling, but without all the toxins that burning a candle brings. So, after 2 years of playing around with my essential oils, I have come up with two favorite blends based on those candles that I once loved! One is a little floral and one is a little more earthy. I give these to my friends in a small dropper bottle instead of a candle! So instead of lighting a candle, they can take a dropper full of one of these blends and add it to their diffuser. If you use a diffuser that has a soft glow, you’ll have the scent and the glow of the candles you love, but without any of the toxins!
*Floral*
grapefruit, geranium, northern lights black spruce & lime
*Earthy*
Palo Santo, patchouli, cedarwood & tangerine

Glow Serum
One of the first things I made using my starter kit of essential oils was a bottle of GLOW Serum. My skin was blotchy, red, and irritated. I always had one or two blemishes I was covering with concealer and would rarely leave the house without wearing foundation. I used expensive department store cleansers, day creams, night creams, and makeup. I was always trying the next new thing for my face and even started taking Minocycline to avoid getting blemishes. Two years later and I have the best skin I’ve had in years! What am I doing differently? Well first, I haven’t taken an antibiotic in two years and I replaced my morning and night moisturizer with GLOW Serum that I make using essential oils. For the first 6-9 months, I used only oils in the starter kit. Frankincense, lavender, and Valor. I now add carrot seed and Copaiba to the blend of oils with a carrier oil like Jojoba oil in a small amber dropper bottle. My skin is far from perfect and I’m approaching 59, but the improvement of my overall skin is remarkable.
Want to make your own bottle of glow?

That diffuser is ruined by that giant logo.

Do you use equal portions of the diffusing oils?

I use a lot of citrus oils mixed in with earthy oils like patchouli, rosemary, cedarwood. The citrus oils are very well priced, so I add 2-3 times more citrus than the other oils.
