Driving through the countryside, on the train and walking the streets…I am reminded how the French seem to have the perfect shade of color on their doors, shutters, gates, walls… Whether it’s blue, green, lavender, pink, yellow….it’s the perfect shade anytime of day. I don’t know what it is, but I love all the colors and the patina of them too.

One of my favorite things about France. I took a lot of photos of doors when I was there and thought the same things. Perfect colors and gorgeous patina! Looks like you’re having the best time!

The colors of France and Italy have always reminded me of the milk paints…so many beautifully aged colors.
