Shop Quince for Timeless & Affordable Wardrobe Basics

Today, I am joining Cindy and Mary Ann to discuss our new (and old) favorites from the brand Quince. Mary Ann first introduced us to Quince. She started with a cashmere throw she loved and mentioned so many times that we all bought at least one. We all love the direct-to-consumer clothing brand for wardrobe basics, luggage, jewelry, and even sunglasses.
In search of the perfect basic tee

I have been wearing Rag & Bone slub tees for several years. First, they hold their shape, shrink very little after the first washing, and can even be dried, although I avoid it to keep them looking newer longer. They do, however, fade over time. I still wear them, but not as an outfit. So by now, I have more than a dozen in every shade of black, gray, and charcoal. They were $90 each. And rarely on sale.
I’ve tried other basic tees, some almost as expensive, and I have not been impressed at all. However, I ordered four 100% Organic Cotton Slub Crewneck Tees from Quince, and I am keeping all four. I bought both black and white in medium and large. I usually opt for the smaller size if I’m layering a tee under a sweater. I like the way the collar shows with a crewneck sweater. Buy three slub Tees and save 20%.
To wear on its own, I usually wear the larger size for a slightly more oversized look. I’ve washed and worn them several times, and they have kept their shape and don’t seem to shrink. I even prefer the white Quince tee over the Rag & Bone. It’s a warmer white and a little thicker. The design is similar to the Rag & Bone, with the exposed seam down the middle of the back of the tee. If you try them, let me know what you think! They were only $20. I love to buy high-quality essentials at a fraction of the price!
If you have not yet tried Quince, the basic tee might be the perfect place to start as a first-time Quince shopper. Once you see how easy it is to navigate the website and how quickly high-quality basics arrive on your doorstep, you might wonder why you waited!
A button-down shirt is another closet staple I love
I have worn this button-down many times and was sure it was no longer on the website. Then I checked, and not only is it back, but they added black and white. It is the best button-down for everyday wear with jeans, skirts, and shorts…
That one cotton poplin dress you can wear in three seasons

I have a minimalist approach to dressing. So when I find versatile pieces like this 100% Organic Cotton Poplin Midi Tunic Dress, I buy them in two neutral colors. It’s perfect with sandals or Birkenstocks on warmer days in summer and fall. Or, as we move from winter to spring, I am wearing it with Wolford Velvet Tights or black leggings and the Mongolian Cashmere Oversized Boyfriend Cardigan Sweater—a casual look with Cole-Haan oxfords and a very old Goyard Bohème Hobo Bag in black and brown.
I love how this simple black dress can be worn with different looks. The best part is that you can throw it into the washing machine, shake it, and hang it to dry! I rarely even need to press it. Perfect for travel! You can see how many different ways I wear it.
Blue jeans and black jeans
For whatever reason, I was reluctant to try Quince denim. I’m not sure why. Since Quince has a 365-day free return policy, there is no risk in trying any of their high-quality basics. I ordered two pairs of the Bella stretch wide-leg jeans. They have a lot of stretch, so if you’re unsure of sizing, I would lean toward sizing down. I ended up keeping the smaller size, and they are super comfortable. Quince has incredible prices on everything, but the jeans, like Quince cashmere, are only $50!

The Bella wide-leg comes in two inseams and four washes. After ordering my first pair in the medium wash, I immediately ordered a pair in black.
Denim jackets, blazers, and chore jackets
The denim jacket has a nice feel to it, but it is slightly too short. I’m 5’10”, so I find most of Quince’s jackets a bit too short. If you are 5’7″ or shorter, you could probably order any of their styles and be very happy with the length.
I also tried the Scuba Single Breasted Convertible Blazer and the Organic Heavyweight Fleece Hoodie Blazer Insert. I love the idea of the insert similar to Verona Beard, but at a fraction of the price.
The Miller Dickey Jacket from Veronica Beard is comparable to this one from Quince. The Veronica Beard jacket retails for $695, the Quince jacket is $99
The Quince chore coat has 3% stretch, making it very comfortable, and comes in six colors.
Other favorites from Quince for home goods & travel

- As I mentioned in the first paragraph, the cashmere throws are beautiful and well-priced. They come in six different colors and two sizes.
- We just added a set of gingham linen and percale sheets for Madeline’s room, which doubles as a guest room. Their sheets are high quality, and the price point can’t be beat. Similar linen sheets from Serena & Lily are $398, and the Quince linen sheets are $169.
- Linen napkins with wavy trim – they come in four color combinations and you can choose set of four, eight or 12.
- For the last several trips, we’ve been traveling to Europe using Quince luggage. We love the expandable carry-on and the hard-sided checked bags, which are perfect for keeping our breakable flea market finds safe for our shop.
- Quince has beautiful bags, like the Italian leather crossbody bag.
- The 14K gold paperclip necklace and bracelet, and gold huggie earrings are so well priced!
- Beautiful end grain wlanut butcher block has been on our kitchen island for the last year. We love it as well as the Japanese Damascus Steel Knife Set (3 essential knives for $129).
- Luna Polarized Acetate Sunglasses – Polarized sunglasses for only $50,
- This gorgeous Italian Leather Travel Cosmetic Case is on my list…in any of the three colors.
- And candles! Full size candles that are noramlly $48 are just $24 each and nine beautiful scents like verdant mint and bergamot basil.

I’m excited to know about their tee shirts!
Hi Annie
I love looking at your lists because there are things I haven’t tried. I am tempted to order one of their candles for Spring. We love the luggage too (thanks Mary Ann!!), and the $50 jeans are amazing! And I adore those scallped napkins!!
