Gosh, I love fall… but who doesn’t? The lighting is magical in the fall, plus there’s apple picking and apple cider and pumpkins and squash and fall flowers. While our current home is in shades of black, white, cream, gray, natural and rattan, I simply must add in some warm colors. Everywhere I turn I am reminded of fall and its wonderful bounty of warm soothing colors.

Warm Colors
I started my day by looking at instagram and the first thing that came up was a post by my friend Patricia Van Essche who is currently in Paris. I love Patricia’s work and I am always inspired by her. She calls this C’est Vendredi. “Le Movement” I adore the colors! You can follow PVE Design on instagram here.
Italian velvet
pillow covers
from Rejuvenation
These pillows from Rejuvenation are gorgeous! We stopped into the NYC shop last weekend while waiting for a table at SugarFish. I love the bottom one…it’s called sunflower, of course. With names like ember, walnut, midnight and mink, kind of hard not love.
A trip to the Union Square
Green Market in NYC
Mini pumpkin flower arrangements
Fall flowers at the Union Square Green Market
Fall flowers in warm hues that kind of match the stack of pillows from Rejuvenation! Once you zero in on something, it seems to follow you around all day! I love when that happens, don’t you?
Birkenstocks that now come in suede in colors that are perfect for fall! One more reason to love Birkenstocks! I just ordered a pair in mink for Italy. I love how Zappos has free one day delivery!
Serena & Lily
Westport, Connecticut
I love our hanging chair from Serena & Lily that we painted black, but the new Luna chair would be perfect in any modern boho space. Are you following me on Pinterest? I have a board just for this kind of look and it’s called Modern Bohemian.
Nesting with Grace’s Free Library
Do you have a free library in your neighborhood? They are popping up all over. I recently read about author Jane Green’s Remarkable Bookcycle named after the beloved shop that closed in 1994 in Westport, CT. You can read the story here. There is even a website that will help you find one near you. Check out Little Free Library. They build community, spark creativity and inspire readers. And how cute is Brooke’s painted to match her front door? It even has a light! Check it out here, she has building plans so you can make one too!
These FEED Supper Toolkits from west elm would be great for a blogger IRL get together, a friends thanksgiving or just about any meal shared with family and friends.
Are you thinking about trick-or-treaters yet?
I love using these little treat bags for our halloween candy. I usually order them now so that by October 31st I will have found an hour to actually fill them with candy and glow-in-the-dark spider rings! I also use these halloween address stickers from tinyprints and they are on sale for only $5 bucks! I customized mine with a halloween greeting instead of an address!
WC sign // tinyprint custom address labels // treat bags // halloween bowl // Sharpie paint pen // tree stump table
Hope you have a great fallish weekend! Check back tomorrow for some big changes around here! And yes, it has to do with front doors and everything home.

Your always beautiful photos make me even more excited for Fall! Those mini pumpkins flower arrangements are adorable! Love the art by PVE, and your cute Halloween supplies are always so fun with your special personalized touches. We’ve had a neighborhood library for a few years and it was a favorite stop on our neighborhood walks when the girls were little. Brooke’s is so cute!! Happy Fall to you, Annie! Wish we could share a coffee and freshly baked Fall treat! ?
