A Vacation Rental Home in Germany & Other Favorite Things

There is a vacation rental house in Kyritz, Germany, which is so lovely that I’d book a trip just to live in one of the little apartments for a while. It’s designed so thoughtfully and beautifully, I can imagine staying here for a week or two. Have you ever booked a vacation based on seeing a place in a movie, or in this case…Instagram?
St. Oak is in the small town of Kyritz, 90 miles north of Berlin. The house has two apartments. The first is called the Loft apartment with two bedrooms, and the second apartment is called the Studio Apartment and has three bedrooms and two balconies overlooking the charming town square.
On the ground floor of the home, there is a garden where you can relax, have coffee, or even barbecue.
You can find out more here, or follow them on Instagram to see these dreamy spaces throughout the year. It’s only a matter of time before we book a stay in one of these lovely apartments. Brent speaks fluent German, so that should come in handy!

Outfit of the Week

Linen trousers from Garnet Hill (I have them in three colors) worn with a split neck poplin top from Quince. (I have the poplin top in white and black also.) Worn with all leather black Birkenstocks. The charm necklace is from Kozakh. You can design your necklace by selecting charms and the kind of chain you want using their necklace builder. Use code: ANNIEDIAMOND20 for 20% off anything at KOZAKH!
The outfit was inspired by a recent Instagram post from @lindvwright, owner and creative director of Crimson Cashmere. I love her effortless style.
For reference in sizing, I am 5’10” and wearing a size 10 regular in the linen trousers. They also come in petite. I am wearing a medium in the poplin top.
Need a new ironing board cover?
Does anyone even iron anymore? I do, but not very often. However, I needed a new ironing board cover with a pad and found these at Williams Sonoma online. They have both blue and black chambray, and they come in two sizes. Make sure to measure your board before ordering. I almost ordered the wrong size.
Gap + Old Navy

Two transition items for summer to fall from Old Navy and GAP. The canvas barn jacket in antiqued rose with a corduroy collar in the shorter length, similar in fit to the Bobby trench from Sézane.
The tote is from GAP. It comes in several colors. I think the brown will look great with white jeans or regular denim.
Oh, that’s lovely!
Sharing things from MLT readers! I love it when I get an email or a DM on Instagram with photos of things you’ve made inspired by our Sunday posts! It makes me so happy, and I knew you would love to see what Mary from the Texas Hill Country made using the simple ruffled tea towels from H&M. Thank you so much for sharing this, Mary!

Those apartments in Germany are so cool and well-equipped! Great inspiration, too.
I want to buy your ironing board cover…mine is so thin. Just need to measure my board.
I love that poplin top on you!
Can you imagine our next retreat in the studio? I have a feeling it would be just us and Susan! xx
Hello Annie,
Thank you for the post such great finds!! The blue top on you looks amazing and the antique barn jacket is fantastic. You have such a good eye! We are looking forward to going to Australia for Christmas (used to live there and we have some dearest friends to hang with) and so with that on the horizon our travel days are all booked up, but the apartment looks lovely in Germany.
Happy summer take care Annie xo
Francesca-Australia for Christmas, that sounds lovely! I had no idea you used to live there! So nice to have dear friends to visit! You have lived a lot of places! I have never been to Australia or New Zealand, but someday! xx
