Pumpkin spice granola

Pumpkin granola is so easy to make, is full of all the fun fall flavors, and you know exactly what’s in it! It’s salty and sweet. You can serve it with ice cream for a fall dessert, in a smoothie bowl, with yogurt for breakfast, or just cold milk. Nothing says “it’s fall” quite like the smell of cinnamon and maple syrup.

Pumpkin spice muffins with molten chocolate center

During the 2024 Summer Olympics, the molten chocolate muffin, served in the Olympic Village, went viral. But since it’s fall and pumpkin season, we decided to make a pumpkin-spiced muffin and inject the same molten chocolate. And we might just like them even more than the original.

Brunch/Lunch

Creamy pumpkin soup

More than 30 years ago, in Scottsdale, AZ, I had the best creamy pumpkin soup in a small French restaurant. When the chef came around to ask how dinner was, I asked him what the spices were, and he actually gave me the entire recipe – handwritten on a small piece of paper. And I’ve been making it every fall since then. Even though the recipe calls for butternut squash, the chef still called it pumpkin soup. So that’s what I’m going with.

Desserts/Snacks

Pumpkin pie with Biscoff cookie crust and toasted meringue

Pumpkin pie is such a holiday classic. And while we love and embrace tradition, we decided to change things up a bit and swap out the traditional pie crust for a Biscoff cookie crust, It’s rich, buttery, and full of cinnamon-spice goodness. It’s the perfect way to add a little fun to a holiday favorite. And for just a little more fun, we topped it with toasted meringue rather than the typical whipped cream. I hope you like it as much as we do.

Pumpkin Madeleines

If you’ve ever ordered traditional Madeleines at a French restaurant, you know how delicious they are when served fresh out of the oven with a dusting of powdered sugar. That’s the only way the French serve them, and I can see why.

I make several types of Madeleine cookies, and the pumpkin spice Madeleines with brown butter are my favorite! This recipe makes a few more than one tray of Madeleines or little cakes, which is what they are. For this recipe, I substitute a drizzle of brown butter glaze rather than dusting them with powdered sugar. I think they are absolutely delicious.

Pumpkin snickerdoodles

Chewy pumpkin snickerdoodles are like the perfect autumn cookie with all the pumpkin spice flavors of fall. These cookies are easy to make and have all the pumpkin flavor you could want. I love to have one with my coffee in the morning. But please be forewarned, they disappear fast, so make a double batch of this cookie recipe.
