Favorites this week include a new handbag from UASHMAMA®

I have long admired the products made in Italy by UASHMAMA®. The company is based in Lucca, Italy, and is run by four sisters and their parents. Their products are made from paper that looks and feels like leather! Each week I join my friends Mary Ann and Cindy as we bring you our favorite finds of the week. This bag arrived in the mail this week and I love it! I love all of their products!
They started with a simple product that they still sell today. A washable bread bag that would be used on the table. It comes in 33 colors! The company stays true to its core values in each product they make. It must be strong, durable, and long-lasting. You can read more about their innovative designs and their mission here.
Today I am sharing a new bag that I recently received from UASHMAMA. My new favorite tote! It’s absolutely beautiful in design and function There are three pockets inside the bag that are perfect for keeping your phone and keys so you don’t have to dig for them. The bag is a tote but also has a zipper closure so that if you are traveling or commuting, you can keep your things safe. I probably won’t use it all the time, but definitely on the subway and for travel.
The Size of the Tote bag is perfect for carrying your laptop
I have to admit, I judge a bag on its ability to carry all the things I might need on a day trip. I am not one to have tons of bags, so when I get a new one, it has to check all (or at least most) of the boxes, and this one checks them all! I have a 13″ MacBook Pro and it slips in easily and still has plenty of room for everything else I typically carry.
The Totty Woven Handbag is proportioned perfectly

I love a good size bag, but not one that is practically a hazard to use. You’ve seen those people walking around with a huge bag and as they make a turn in a tight spot (think airport newsstand) they practically take out a couple of people as they make a move!
This bag is the perfect dimensions and the handles are large enough to use on your shoulder so long as you are not wearing a bulky coat or just to carry. The bag measures 18″ wide x 4″ deep and 20″ high. The 4″ depth makes it perfect for travel and everyday use. I often keep this zippered bag inside my tote to help keep things organized.
I do love a bag that looks beautiful when I’m at home too!

2. Chicken Katsu Bowls
There’s a little place in Brooklyn that has the best chicken Katsu sandwiches, but when we can’t make it to Brooklyn, this recipe from Half-Baked Harvest is sooooo good! In case you find yourself in the Clinton Hill neighborhood of Brooklyn, make sure to stop by Chef Katsu Brooklyn.
3. Serena & Lily old and new favorites
It’s no secret that I am a huge fan of Serena & Lily. Every room in my house has something from Serena & Lily. Furniture, bedding, tabletop, outdoor…love it all! Right now everything is 20% off! Like our dining room chairs that go with any style table. I have used them with our Saarinen Tulip Table and now with our farm table that Brent made over 30 years ago.
Serena & Lily has a way of finding what’s new while honoring the past. Two of my favorites that are very much from the past:
The Marion Bedspread
The luxurious texture of soft tufted chenille in all white is so dreamy! It comes in other colors too, but I think the texture is lovely on its own.
Lawn Chaise
A lawn chaise that’s so old school, but fresh and new too! You’ll need a pair of white sunglasses to complete the look.
Tucker Chairs & a Dip-Dyed Stool

4. Shop Most Lovely Things & Uashmama®

We are getting close to opening our shop and planning trips to Italy and France this summer to search for more treasures for the shop. I love items with multiple purposes. The Roseville crock is the perfect size for wooden kitchen utensils or for a bunch of lilacs.
Follow @shopmostlovelythings for updates!
The Caddy is from Uashmama. This too could be used for so many things! Like a jar of lilacs and a bottle of wine, champagne or olive oil!
I had never heard of Uashmama, so thank you for the introduction. How beautiful is their work.
Happy Mother’s Day, Annie!!
Annie, I can’t wait for you to open your shop. That bag totally looks like leather. I think I need one. Can’t wait to check out the recipe from Half Baked Harvest. They do such a good job! Happy Mother’s Day I hope you have a fabulous one!
Happy Mother’s day, Annie,
I’m totally intrigued by the Uashmama bags. My daughter in law and granddaughter will love the product materials. Will you be carrying them in your shop?
Diney on camano Island
Happy Mother’s Day Diney! I’m trying to carry them, but they say they only sell to brick and mortar shops so far, so not sure if that will happen, but I do love the products!
Annie! I love this bag. I hadn’t heard of Uashmama, but now I’m a fan. The color, and texture … swoon. I also appreciate the ability to pack my laptop and other essential stuff. I may have been guilty of taking out fellow traveler or two with a bulky bag on my shoulder. Oops. I love a sale … especially a Serena & Lily sale. Happy Mother’s Day weekend! xo
I love all of their prodcuts! They have everything for the home and bags!! I’ll bet you’ll start seeing them around!
Annie, love the tote! Just curious- is it safe to get it wet?
