Home Tour: Classic Casual Home in Atlantic Beach

For Sunday favorites, I thought it would be fun to share Mary Ann’s new home in Atlantic Beach, Florida, since we just spent three beautiful days in her gorgeous home where she and her husband moved three years ago. I have seen her home on her blog (maybe you have too), but seeing it in real life was so much fun. Mary Ann is a fantastic hostess; everything she does is thoughtful and lovely.
Mary Ann and Howard moved to the small coastal town from San Francisco, and the coastal lifestyle seems to suit them perfectly. Mary Ann has lived along the coast from California to Florida, so coastal decor has always been a part of her style. She blends it beautifully with her effortless style, combining more traditional furniture and French antiques from their years of living in Paris.
Living Room

The living room is a wonderful gathering place with plenty of comfortable seating. Two sofas and four cozy armchairs surround a large coffee table.

Outdoor Spaces: Patio & Porch

My favorite thing about their home is the many outdoor spaces where you can enjoy coastal living. A screened-in porch off the primary bedroom feels like a tree house. Mary Ann used a hanging bed with custom cushions made by Patio Lane. You can read more about it in Mary Ann’s post here.
The patio has a large table for dining and a comfortable seating area with an outdoor television. Talk about outdoor living! The pool is the backdrop, and they have the most lovely water feature that fills the backyard with peaceful fountain sounds.
Another screened-in porch is off the upstairs office. It has enough space for a small cafe table, chairs, and seating. When their grown children visit, they have plenty of space to work, hang out, and enjoy being all together on the same coast.

Dining Room

Mary Ann has always displayed a collection of art in her dining room. You can see her San Francisco dining room here. Their Atlantic Beach dining room has built-in ledges, which are perfect for displaying art. The walls were painted in the same cozy paint color.
Kitchen

The kitchen is the heart of any home, and there’s no exception here. It’s right in the middle of the house. There’s a large island with plenty of seating to keep Mary Ann and Howard company while they cook and entertain. This house is made for entertaining, and Mary Ann and Howard are so warm and welcoming!
