12 Favorite Things (Under $100)

I’m joining my besties, Cindy and Mary Ann, to share our list of 12 favorites. Mine all happen to be under $100! You are no doubt getting tons of emails every day about sales and deals, and so I will keep this brief!

Since we are currently in Paris, my love for the city has definitely inspired some of my picks!

  1. Striped Cotton Pajama Set in Peppermint Stripe – I still love Christmas pajamas, but these are not so Christmasy that I won’t wear them all winter. They have four color combinations, but naturally, I was drawn to the red and ivory color combination.
  2. Aesop Resurrection Aromatique Hand Wash – I’ve bought a lot of fancy hand soaps for the powder room over the years. Still, honestly, nothing comes close to the Aesop hand soap with sea salt crystals that gently exfoliates while cleansing without being at all dehydrating. I always add a bottle to my kids’ stockings every year! And they would be very disappointed if I stopped!
  3. Staub Mini Dutch Ovens – These come as a set of three and are available in three colors. I suggest breaking up the set into three gifts! They can be used for so many things. Make a mini cake, or a mini omelet in one. The Staub Instagram has lots of ideas. Or, use one as a catchall, or to hold hair ties, or as a candy jar on your desk. How cute would M&M’s be in these?
  4. Le Labo Eu de Parfum Discovery Set Collection – We all love Le Labo! Patrick loves the hand cream. Madeline, Kate, and I all love the fragrance. What better way to get acquainted with Le Labo, or if you already love it, these are great for travel!

A few items I love from Sézane

5. Sézane has two candle options that I think make great gifts. The first is the Piano Candle Holder Gift Set. It comes in a beautiful box, and there’s a pair of tapers and candle holders. There are a few color options, and they are all gorgeous. It makes a lovely gift, and in the future, you could always bring a pair of candles when you visit. You know they have taper candle holders.

Another lovely candle holder option is the set of two brass candle holders and some lovely candles made in France. They stack on top of each other for storage, taking up very little space. Perfect for small apartment dwellers. They are called the Canellato Candle Holder Set.

6. Côme Hooded Scarf – All the girls are wearing the hooded scarf. So practical and easy to wear! A must for anyone who lives where it’s even the slightest bit cold. It’s perfect with everything from a wool coat to a puffer coat, or even a denim jacket. An accessory, yes, but it will keep you cozy!

7. Corduroy Jewelry Box – Great to keep your precious gems safe at home or while traveling. The little red corduroy case is adorable enough to use as an accessory on your dresser top or nightstand.

8. Amandine Bracelet is available in three colors, and in any color, it elevates an outfit or adds a little something! I wear mine in the summer with all-white or a plain t-shirt and jeans.

Cozy from head to toe

9. Ribbed Tech-Touch Gloves Supersoft Yarn – These tech-touch gloves from J.Crew actually work! I’ve been using fingerless gloves for the last several years, but decided to give these a try after reading some reviews. I’m happy to say they have been a lifesaver on this trip, when I am constantly using maps, taking photos, and staying warm!

10. Adidas Samba OG Shoes – I am happy to report that women of all ages are still wearing sneakers in Paris. And the Samba OG shoes are still popular. I especially love the leopard print with orange laces. (They also include a pair of white laces in the box). My next favorite pair is the black/cream Samba OG shoe.

11. Mongolian Cashmere Scarf – This scarf from Quince comes in 10 colors, including this black and ivory stripe.  A 100% Grade-A Mongolian cashmere scarf will be under the tree for everyone on my list this year at $59!

12. Quince Cashmere Slouch Socks – I am a huge fan of cashmere socks for both comfort and warmth. I have a pair of these from last year in gray and ordered a pair in black for this trip. Everyone needs at least one pair of cashmere socks!

  1. Great picks, Annie! I ordered a gift from Sezane yesterday and it came with a little gift and free wrapping…love that.

  2. Dear Annie,

Your “12” mostly French suggestions are so enticing. The hooded scarves are perfect stocking stuffers for my daughter in law and her daughter, my granddaughter! They love matching if it’s not to “cute”! Now I can relax because my shopping is finished.

    Safe travels,
    Diney on Mercer Island

    1. Hi Diney! Hooded scarves are everywhere in Paris, and probably everywhere! It wasn’t quite scarf weather when we leeft New York, but it sure looks like the temps have dropped, and we will indeed be going back to “bundle up” weather! xx

  3. Another wonderful edit! I especially appreciate the mix of practical home items and little luxuries. The ceramic vase is such a great find.

This has me wondering—have you ever considered doing a ‘Favorite Things Under $50’ or even ‘Under $25’ challenge? As a fan of a serious bargain, I’d love to see what hidden gems you’d uncover at an even more accessible price point. I bet your readers would have some amazing suggestions, too!
