Alexandrine’s Pizza Recipe

Ingredients

  • homemade or store bought pizza dough
  • 2-3 tablespoons sweet Dijon mustard
  • 1/3 cup crème fraîche
  • 2 ounces smoked bacon, chopped small, and sautéed.
  • 1 yellow onion, sliced very thin, and sauteed in the the same pan that you used for the bacon. You may need to add a little olive oil. Sauté until softened. 
  • 2 ounces each of shredded Emmental, Gruyere, and Comté cheese
  • olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400ºF
  2. Roll out the pizza dough and drizzle a little olive oil, then spread the mustard, followed by a generous layer of creme fraîche.
  3. Sprinkle the bacon, followed by the sautéed onions.
  4. Finally, sprinkle the three cheeses generously on top.
  5. Bake on a pizza stone for 15 minutes or until the crust begins to turn golden.
