Our new favorite coffee shop in NYC: Variety Coffee
If you’ve been following us for a while, you know that we love coffee. You might also know that we have an entire Instagram account dedicated to this passion! (Follow us @coffeeshopsofnewyork if you don’t already). We love exploring New York through coffee shops, and our latest find is Variety Coffee Roasters on 25th & 7th. The brand is based in Brooklyn, and has two locations there, but we love the architecture and open workspace in this Manhattan location.
From the white exposed brick to the curved wooden ceilings, there’s so much to love about this space. There’s something about the openness of the space that makes it perfect for posting up with a cup of coffee and your laptop to get work done, or even to just catch up with a friend.
We love the vintage-inspired black and brass menu, offering plenty of coffee options and even seasonal apple cider. You also have your pick of delicious pastries and baked goods in a gorgeous brass display case.
The real-feel temperature in New York this day was well below zero, and it felt like it! On a frigid NYC day, there’s nothing better than sipping a cappuccino a cozy coffee shop. Variety Coffee definitely did the trick.
Often times, we’ll find a cool-looking coffee shop on Yelp or Instagram only to arrive and find that it is absolutely tiny with little to no seating. There’s nothing wrong with a small coffee shop, although if you’re looking to get work done or meet with a friend or two, you’re going to want some space. You certainly won’t feel cramped here. From its charming storefront to cozy atmosphere inside, not to mention delicious coffee, we’re loving Variety Coffee.
