Happy Sunday! I’m back with pals Cindy and Mary Ann for Sunday Favorites! We are so ready for warm weather that I have a recipe for a delicious tropical fruit smoothie. This one will make you think you’re poolside at a fancy resort. Ahhhh…if only!
A tropical fruit smoothie
This smoothie is so good! It reminds me of a drink you would order poolside at a resort!. All that’s missing is an umbrella!
Ingredients
1 cup frozen pineapple
1 cup frozen banana
1 cup frozen strawberries
1 cup fresh-squeezed orange juice
2 scoops of vanilla collagen protein powder
1/2 avocado
2-3 drops ginger vitality essential oil or fresh ginger, peeled and sliced thin
ice as needed
Instructions
Blend everything together in a high-powered blender and add ice if necessary and blend again. You could substitute orange juice for nut milk and you could add almond butter for extra protein.
Notes
Orange juice could be substituted with almond milk and you could add a little almond butter for extra protein. If the fruit is frozen you may not need to add the ice.
Paper bag flowers by Sheri Silver
Sheri is so creative! I stopped by her house this week and saw these in her mudroom as I was leaving. I could not believe how beautiful and colorful they looked hanging in the window with the natural light filtering through them. She made them based on the giant paper bag snowflakes we made during the holidays. I think these are going to take off and become the new decoration for every holiday and celebration! I love the multi-colors, but all one color, color block, rainbow, so many possibilities….Read how to make them here!
Macrame by Yanyula
I’m a big fan of Jagoda’s work. She makes macrame plant hangers and other decor items. Her work is so beautiful, handmade, and adds a lovely touch to any home for that “collected look” we all love. I saw this yoga mat strap on her Instagram and immediately ordered one for Madeline. Living in a small NYC apartment with a tiny closet means things are hung on hooks. Now it looks like an intentional touch to her decor. I love functional art. You can see more in this post.

Outfit of the Week – Too early for white jeans?
The correct answer is never, right? I wear them all winter. Of course, I grew up with the rule of no white after Labor Day, but that’s what I love about now…there are no rules. The only time I am sure to avoid white jeans is if there is rain in the forecast. I saw this on the Instagram of Linda V. Wright, the owner of Crimson in Paris, and thought….I’m going to copy that look. I have several pairs of white jeans and a stack of beige sweaters, I don’t have combat boots (I wear a size 10.5-11 so I have yet to find a pair that don’t look huge), so I’m wearing Prada boots that I’ve had forevvvvvvver. I am going to try these!
Now head over to Mary Ann and Cindy’s blogs and see what they found this week!

Thank you Annie! xoxoxo
Those paper flowers are so gorgeous Annie so uplifting! I am going to make the smoothie for today’s breckfast as unbelivably I have all the ingredients at hand! My beautiful son got married yesterday to an exceptional partner; a wonderful lady who we are getting to know and love, and I am so thrilled for them both. Both of them are in the Air Force and in different states and stationed far apart, but they wanted to get married so further down the line they can live together as one. The world is in a better place for me this weekend:) .So I might have my lovely vacation smoothie sitting in his bedroom, looking at is football trophies and the large poster image of him being a linbacker in high school and just be.
Thank you for the wonderful sunshine Annie love reading your posts xox
Aren’t they so pretty Francesca? I love the colors! I hope you enjoyed the smoothie!!
Francesca! Congratulations!! Thank you for sharing this beautiful story! I can almost feel your happiness through your words! ❤️
Annie,
Smoothies always tempt me, but they don’t serve as a meal replacement for me. I might want to drink them as a snack. Haha. The tissue flowers are pretty.
xo,
Karen
Karen! I know what you mean! It helps if I had a scoop of almond butter, but sometimes I think I wait too long and I’m still hungry, or I think I am, is more like it!😜
I love a good smoothie and the addition of ginger sounds wonderful. Those flowers crafted by Sheri are amazing, and I love tagging along on your meanderings around New York City. You guys have so many interesting places to visit!!
Cindy! I would like a month (or a year) to explore your area!!xx
Trying one more time to leave a comment. Love the white jeans with beige sweater!!
