My friend Diane Karmen has introduced me to some of the most interesting and creative people. I met Karen Angelo, Yvonne Calveloux, and Phoebe Cole Smith to name just a few all because of Diane. A couple of weeks ago Diane asked if I wanted to tag along to see her good friend’s peony garden. Well let me tell you, she didn’t have to ask twice. I was practically in my car before she finished her last text message with the address!
We’ve had so much cool and rainy weather in Connecticut this spring, but on the day we went, we had a day with light clouds, blue sky and sunshine. There were so many varieties of peonies that I quickly downloaded the app that Brooke had told me about. Have you tried PictureThis to instantly identify your plants? I’ve been using it at home too and it help to know what kind of plant I have so I can care for it properly.

Citronella Essential Oil
My favorite oil this week is Citronella. It came with my Young Living order this month and I’ve made so many candles and bottles of Bug Off with it that I had to order another bottle! One of my favorite things about essential oils is finding safe ways protect and nurture our skin. We live on the water and we try to go out on our paddle boards every evening. When the water is still is my favorite, but that’s when the bugs are out! Since using this DIY Bug Off spray I haven’t had a single bite! If you are ready to fall in love with essential oils and are ready to order a starter kit for $165 (value of over $300) use this link and I’ll help you learn how to detox your house!

Everlane’s Choose What You Pay Summer Event
Everlane is one of our favorite stores. Both Madeline and I can always find something we love from basic boyfriend jeans, the $100 cashmere crew to dresses and my new favorite pair of pants, the carpenter pant. I used to have them way back when we called them painter pants. They are high waisted, so no need to worry about a belt. And they go with everything in your closet. You’ll want to stock up on a few things during their Choose What You Pay Summer Event!
These are some of our favorites currently in our cart and most we already own in a different color! We had better hurry, because things are selling out fast. From left to right: 1. The Cotton Collarless Belted Shirt-dress, 2. The Soft Cotton Popover Shirt, 3. The Lightweight French Terry Crew, 4. The Modern Wrap Sandal, 5. The Form Thong Sandal, 6. The Modern Boyfriend Jean, 7. The Oversized Fleece Hoodie
Now might be a good time to stock up on a few sweaters for next fall/winter! These prices are simply too good to pass up! I have my eye on this one and this one!
#TheCollectedLook
Each week Mary Ann, Cindy, and I choose one photo to feature on our instagram feeds of a room or space that has that oh so important, collected look. We all love it and we want to share more with you! Today I chose two from my friend Kelly of Bungalow Blue Interiors. Kelly and I go way back to our early blogging days and actually had the chance to meet when she stopped in to see me at Serena & Lily. Kelly has a beautiful way of sharing inspiration on her blog and instagram of collected rooms and tablesscapes! Follow Kelly @bungalowblue
