Do you decorate your bedrooms for Christmas? I never did. The kids bedrooms when they were young, yes. Each had little trees with themed ornaments, twinkle lights and their holiday art over the years in frames, but never our bedroom. This year I was inspired by our cozy flannel sheets and our new bedding all from Garnet Hill. Our bedroom is already pretty cozy with our walls painted Benjamin Moore graphite. Combine dark walls, gorgeous bedding and a garland with twinkle lights…I’m sold.
just add twinkle lights . . .
Switching our bedding to winter started with GH signature flannel sheets, an Eileen Fisher Organic Reversible Stripe Blanket that also works to replace a quilt. It’s made from organic-cotton fibers farmed without harmful pesticides, GMOs, or chemical defoliants. The Buffalo-Check duvet cover and pillow covers are in dark pearl and made of 100% linen. I love to mix and match and Garnet Hill makes it easy to transition from season to season.
Garnet Hill Bed Basics
Garnet Hill Signature Flannel, Eileen Fisher washed linen bedding & striped blanket/pillow
Garnet Hill signature flannel bedding is so luxurious. It’s made in Germany using a tighter weave than most flannels. It’s thick making it perfect for winter, but we use the top sheet all summer as a light blanket. I love the way Garnet Hill sheets are made. The bottom sheet is generous in size and fully elasticized for a better fit.
A few small decorations on the bedside tables
I used to use only fresh greenery, but it makes such a mess and I didn’t want to find pine needles on our new bedding. I found this inexpensive garland with lights at Target and it’s perfect for a bedroom. A simple pine cutting in a glass bottle is all I need for fresh.A few ceramic houses in white and of course a diffuser. I love this mini wood grain diffuser that looks like birch wood!
