I had the opportunity to help my sister with a few details for a bridal brunch for the last of three daughters in a family of all girls. It was in Paradise Valley, Arizona and many of the guests were from New York City and Toronto. The bride wanted to play up the Arizona Desert theme. After all, they had Mariachi Pasion, an all female mariachi band at their wedding reception. How cool is that? For the bridal brunch invitations, we turned to Wedding Paper Divas and of course they had the perfect look with their Succulent Cluster Invitations.
We both loved all the details like the back of the invitations and the lined envelopes. We went with the luxurious Premium Double Thick Paper.
We added the custom stickers for the little bags of Cactus Candy. If you’ve ever been to Arizona or even just a stop over at Sky Harbor Airport, then you’ve seen since this candy. They’ve been around forever and we thought it would be fun to add a little retro Arizona.
Wedding Paper Divas thinks of everything. Monogrammed napkins with the monogram in Copper to stay with our desert theme.
For a little take-away gift we used iconic Arizona photos. I searched my archives for photos that I had taken over the years in Phoenix and then enlisted my nephew to provide a few. Brent made wood photo holders by cutting a 1 x 2 piece of wood into 4″ lengths. He then ran it over the table saw blade about 2/3 the thickness of the wood. This created the photo holder slot. I edited the photos adding a fade to make them appear old and ordered the Instagram photos from Social Print Studio.
The photos would also be used on the table at each place setting as part of the table decoration. I didn’t want the backs of each photo blank so I painted stripes inspired by the colors of the desert on thick watercolor paper. I cut them using a paper trimmer the same size as the photos and mounted them onto the backs of each photo. I heard the wedding was beautiful and Camelback Mountain provided a even more beauty as the backdrop.

Thanks Brooke! It would be cute for a kids party too. Or send the thank you “note” after a birthday party and include a party photo and a holder.

Annie, your creativity never ceases to amaze me! What a lovely shower… and a lucky bride!
I’ve never spent any time in the desert, but after these pictures, I think we need to see it first hand.
