Winter Coats

Thursday, January 9, 2014

With temperatures struggling to stay above zero (minus the windchill factor) today seemed as good as any to show a photo of my entryway.  Well sort of…the side that shows my mini painting aptly titled “Winter Coats” by Lisa Golightly,  Kiki and Polly.  As soon as I saw this little painting I knew I had to buy it. It seems most of the art in our home was somehow acquired by my husband through interesting experiences of his job.  I’m not generally impulsive about purchases that will go on our walls, but this little painting just seemed perfect.  And at the time I didn’t even know where I was going to hang it.  Then when it arrived already framed it turned out that the perfect spot was in my entryway.  To the left of this photo (not shown).…our winter coats piled on hooks…of course.  A print of this little painting is available in her etsy shop here.

Annie, Love this charming painting. What a perfect spot and the black frame is perfect too. I looked at the Etsy shop. Some very cute things.
    Hope you are staying warm!
    Have a good weekend!

I’ve got our entry on my mind lately. We live in a split level home so we have 2 doors that we can access for entry, and we use them both equally – and THAT is the problem. I should try to document the pickle that I’m in so that people can weigh in on what to do – b/c I’m lost/torn.

      HI Holly,
Hmmmm….not seeing a photo makes a little hard, but what if you made one door more formal (two planters on each side of door) and the other more informal looking?
