Grocery Store Flowers Elevated

Elevate the look of grocery store flowers with a few simple changes.  The first thing I do is add a few greens from my yard to a store bought bunch of flowers.  Here I added three stems of variegated  hydrangea leaves.  You could also add lemon leaves.  In the winter add holly, magnolia, boxwood or evergreens to your bouquets.

Begin by taking apart the flowers once you are home from the grocery store.  Clean the stems and give them a fresh cut with this tool from Terrain.  Re-wrap all of the flowers together.  Using a Sharpie paint pen I’ve personalized the black kraft paper I’m using on the outside of the bouquet.  You’ll have to play with this for the proper placement and size.  It really depends on the length of the name.  Write the name on the black paper before you wrap them for best results.

I’ll be taking this plant to my nephew at college along with a dresser I found at Goodwill.  Everybody needs a house plant and his apartment has great light.  So next time you need to make a statement with grocery store flowers or plants, black paper and a sharpie paint pen make a big difference!  Grocery Store Flowers Elevated
