Today I had the pleasure of having lunch with two very good friends. Friends who I have trusted in helping me choose, I guess you could say, the house that we purchased last year and I only saw for the first time on July 4th. A little over a year ago my daughter and I came to look at houses knowing we would be moving back to Connecticut, but we did not see exactly what we were looking for. This time I wanted an old home and within walking distance to the town/train. We went back to California and the following week my husband and son were in NYC for work and then heading to a tournament in Cooperstown, NY. Anne called to say the perfect house had come on the market. I said, “Great, Brent’s in the city, I’ll have him swing by on the way up to Patrick’s tournament.” Photos were emailed back and forth, lots of questions which made no sense to anyone but me…and we bought it.
My friends arrived with flowers…Now our little house is filled with blooms. I also found my new candle from Mary Ann, Classic.Casual.Home. It’s the Laguna candle from Voluspa. I love it! I adore this mix of white and lime green flowers…and they really do arrange themselves in this Jonathon Adler vase.I’m a little late to the party, but I’m linking to SmallButCharming.…Jane always has fresh blooms and now kittens!
