Every day I add a little more holiday to the house. Mostly with things we already own plus some fresh greens and poinsettia plants from Valley View Greenhouses…they had an entire rack for $1 each…how could I resist?
A string of twinkle lights and velvet ribbons in pink and red on my favorite ornaments add a little Christmas in the dining room.
Hunter rain boots and Sorels line our entry.
A few red and green books pulled from the shelves in Madeline’s sun room with a pale pink poinsettia and of course some twinkle lights. I’m just getting started…what about you?

OK, I simply love the American flag all framed up next to that modern chair. It’s a mix of old world history with modern. I also am going to copy that big bowl filled with white lights. It’s such a great way to add warmth to an entryway and it cheers up the space. You inspired so many of my friends with your advent calendar that they created something similar. All of my friends are fans of your site now. Honestly, if you lived in Marin, you would be hired!

What a lovely post.

Wait. Madeline has her own sun room ….I want my own sun room. And your eye for photography. I took a close up of our mantel and thought…”Annie would do something like this.” Your influence.
Love the boots and the old silver! Happy holidays!
I love the framed American flag. Beautiful. Is there a story that goes with how you acquired it? Your Christmas decorations are beautiful, too.
Oh it’s just all so beautiful, we have very similar taste.
I love all your little touches! The flag takes my breath away – and the peek at the fire in the reflection is just lovely. Your house is looking so beautiful!
Annie,
I’m like you, adding a bit each day. Loved all your sweet touches..
