One of the great things about living in the northeast is that you can travel to a new city in a matter of hours and be some place completely different. Well I guess you can do this anywhere, but to be in NYC and a few hours later be in another great city like Philadelphia is pretty cool. We basically dined, shopped and saw the sites. I love to travel to new cities in the winter. Nothing can hide in the winter…the trees are bare and there’s something about the vibe of a city in the cold that really makes you connect. Do you know what I mean?

love that city and it is true about a city in the winter time – all that connectivity.

That’s very cool Annie. And yes you are so right….there’s no hiding behind pretty trees and flowers in winter. Looks like you saw alot in 24 hours….nice photos! I’ve never been to Philadelphia….so much history there.
Hooray for Philadelphia! Glad you got to visit. We’ve had beautiful weather too which I’m sure you’ve had similar up in CT as well. Actually, Anthony Bourdain’s The Layover just aired the other night and was in Philly – it was very entertaining but also really gave Philly a wonderful review.
Beautiful photography
Wow, your pictures are just stunning.
On our tenth wedding anniversary we flew to LA for three nights and stayed at The Beverly Hills Hotel, I was almost crying as I held a flower in my hand, it’s all so barren here.
Oh this takes me back I was 21 when I visited Philadelphia.
I haven’t been to Philly in years! you may have just inspired another visit! hope all’s well!
